มูลนิธิเครือข่ายมะเร็งเป็นนิติบุคคลและองค์กรสาธารณประโยชน์ จดทะเบียนจัดตั้งมูลนิธิเมื่อวันที่ 26 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2563 มูลนิธิเครือข่ายมะเร็งมีพัฒนาการมาจากชมรมเพื่อนมะเร็งไทย ซึ่งก่อตั้งเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2559 อันเป็นที่รู้จักกันในฐานะองค์กรจิตอาสาที่ต่อยอดมาจากกลุ่มอาสาเพื่อนมะเร็ง ซึ่งเป็นที่รวมของกลุ่มผู้ป่วยมะเร็งที่มาร่วมกันทำงานสาธารณประโยชน์ภายใต้แนวคิด “เพื่อนช่วยเพื่อน” โดยต่อมาได้รับการสนับสนุนจากมูลนิธิมิตรภาพบำบัด

กลุ่มอาสาเพื่อนมะเร็งยังคงมีกิจกรรมเพื่อนช่วยเพื่อนต่อไปบนสื่อสังคมจนถึงปัจจุบัน ทั้งนี้ยังคงเจตนารมณ์ที่จะเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งของกลุ่มผู้ป่วยมะเร็งในรูปเครือข่ายของกลุ่มผู้ป่วยมะเร็งชนิดต่างๆ รวมถึงกลุ่มญาติ ผู้ดูแล ผู้รอดชีวิต จิตอาสา ผู้ให้บริการ นักวิชาการ/วิชาชีพ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ เพื่อช่วยเหลือซึ่งกันและกันในด้านต่างๆ เพื่อบรรลุถึงคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ป่วยมะเร็งต่อไป

ยิ่งไปกว่านั้นมูลินิธิเครือข่ายมะเร็งยังได้รับการสนับสนุนจากองค์กรต่างๆ ทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชน ทั้งในและต่างประเทศ อันเป็นเครือข่ายที่ครอบคลุมภารกิจของมูลนิธิเป็นอย่างดี

วัตถุประสงค์ของมูลนิธิเครือข่ายมะเร็ง

ร่วมพัฒนา อบรม สนับสนุนกิจกรรม เพื่อช่วยเครือข่ายผู้ป่วยมะเร็งและที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการดำเนินงานสาธารณประโยชน์ของโรคมะเร็ง โดยให้เกิดความร่วมมือกันในวงกว้าง
ให้ความรู้และให้คำปรึกษาเกี่ยวกับโรคมะเร็ง เพื่อการดูแลและ รับมืออย่างถูกต้อง ทั้งด้านร่างกายและจิตใจ รวมทั้งการเข้าถึงการรักษาและสิทธิประโยชน์ต่างๆ
จัดกิจกรรมและสร้างสรรค์สื่อ เพื่อส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ป่วย อดีตผู้ป่วย ผู้ดูแล และเพิ่มการตระหนักรู้เกี่ยวกับโรคมะเร็งแก่บุคคลทั่วไป
ขับเคลื่อนนโยบายและแผนงานด้านโรคมะเร็ง เพื่อพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตผู้ป่วยในทุกมิติ ให้มั่นคงและยั่งยืน
ดำเนินการเพื่อสาธารณประโยชน์ โดยร่วมมือกับบุคคลากรทางการแพทย์ องค์กรทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชน เพื่อพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ป่วยมะเร็งและผู้ดูแล
